Back on the Rock

Well we are back in St. Kitts from semester break.  We had a super, wonderful, busy time back in Tennessee!!!  Josh had his first day of classes today and of course said it is going to be a really hard semester.  But what does he expect, he is in doctor school.  I am happy to report that we got everything past customs and immigration in the St. Kitts airport without having to pay taxes on any of it.  Some might be wondering what kind of things we might have to pay taxes on.  Pretty much anything that the folks here on the island want to charge you for!!  Some examples of the things we had that could have been taxed: my sewing machine, the yards and yards of fabric, new pans to cook with, a Pur water filtration system (that doesn't fit my faucet!), two bags of Starbucks coffee that my wonderful brother gave us, and the list goes on.  So hopefully I will be getting to work on some quilting projects that must be done when we come back in August (Taylor and Declan's quilts!!)  I am excited because I think this semester is going to be much better for me at least!!  I promise I will try to be a little more regular with my post since the girls at work fussed at me for not posting much!! :)  Who knew so many people read my blog, I mean like 5 people!!!  lol!!!  Well Josh and I are getting ready to head out to get some dinner with some friends since this will be his last night to relax before the studying starts.
